Dr. Osawaru Omoruyi, MD, MBA, CMD is a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine, geriatrics, and hospice and palliative care. With over 25 years of experience, he’s a trusted advocate for compassionate, patient-centered care in Louisville.
Dr. Omoruyi is the founder and Medical Director of Pearl Medical Practice and Pearl Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine. He leads a dedicated team that provides primary care, comprehensive geriatric assessments, and end‑of‑life support for older adults. In addition to his work there, he serves as the Medical Director for several long‑term care communities, including Wesley Manor Retirement Community, and works as a hospitalist at St. Mary’s and Elizabeth Hospital.
Dr. Omoruyi is known for his exceptional bedside manner and his commitment to dignified, high‑quality care. He continues to influence geriatric and palliative medicine across the region. His leadership and expertise help raise the standard of care for the older adults he serves.

Dr. Omoruyi has been part of our community since January 2017, serving as both our Medical Director and Physician. He visits our campus every Wednesday, while his skilled Nurse Practitioner team is in the building five days a week, providing ongoing, attentive care to our residents.
