Wesley Manor
Visit from a UMC Bishop
On Sunday, June 23, Wesley Manor Retirement Community was abuzz with excitement and anticipation as we welcomed a special guest: UMC Bishop Leonard Fairley and his wife, Dawn. We also hosted retired UMC pastors, Board members and some of our leaders.
The highlight of the visit was a service held in our community chapel. Bishop Fairley blessed us with a wonderful sermon that focused on themes that we all have a purpose and that all are loved by Christ. These words resonated deeply with everyone present. We were delighted to see our chapel filled with residents from all levels of care, guests, staff, family members and friends, all taking in a beautiful message and worshipping together.
After the service, Bishop Fairley and his wife, along with our other special guests, joined us for lunch, sharing a meal and engaging in heartfelt conversations. Our culinary team served a specially prepared lunch that was enjoyed by all.
At Wesley Manor, we strive to create moments that bring joy and enrichment to our residents’ lives. Bishop Fairley’s visit was a perfect example of how spiritual engagement and personal connection can make a profound difference. We will continue to foster a community where everyone feels loved and supported.
